Fresh Snow has allowed us to move this tour up one full week, join us for Halloween at the 'Biggies'.
Its that time of year again, when snow starts piling up in the higher elevations and we can hit some of our favorite mountain locations. Its a special time early in the winter when we must follow the weather, chasing storms and hitting the high mountain passes before they close for the long winter.
There are only a few locations in the country that have turned out good early season Snowkite conditions, and even fewer that offer highway access above snow line. In addition to Tugg Hill and Skyline, The Big Horns and Beartooths that lie along the Montana & Wyoming border are among the favorite destinations for the Ozone Snowkite Team.
We've been lucky the past couple years, hitting the 'Biggies' over Halloween and scoring the goods. We hope to repeat that this year, and have moved the dates back a week in hopes of hitting an even deeper snow pack.
These areas can be accessed from Cody, Wyoming or from Billings & Red Lodge in Montana, and each climbs a mountain pass to the 10,000-11,000 foot range.
